So, what does hope mean to me? Well, as a psychologist I've witnessed the power of hope in therapy with abused children and their families. To watch as a child taps into the sense of hope that is always there, but often unrealized, that is an amazing site to behold. Hope is invisible, yet you can see on the face of a young child who believes that something better is about to happen. |

And now, we are seeing expressions of hope across our country. From construction workers, to single parents, to new citizens of our country and to students and professionals, hope is spreading. This force of hope that once seemed dormant for nearly a decade, well it's back and better than ever, despite the efforts of others to nullify or minimize it. Yes, hope is real and it is here. And more than that, this sleeping giant is now awake and growing all the more powerful each and every day. For the first time in nearly a decade, millions are walking with their head held a little higher, with a tad less fear and apprehension about what lies ahead. Within them a renewed sense of pride in our country; a pride that is self-initiated, rather than spurred on by fear or divisiveness. We are fast realizing that our shared sense of hope is inextricably intertwined with one another as individuals and a nation. Now is the time for a new sense of pride in our nation. A nation that is changing and moving ahead. A nation that has once again found what got us started over 200 years ago. HOPE. The Doctor of Good News
